Diversion Dam and the Wyoming Canal
Diversion Dam was constructed by the Bureau of Reclamation in 1934 to divert water to the Midvale Irrigation Project via Wyoming Canal. By altering the timing of sediment transport and providing a barrier to fish migration, Diversion Dam has created significant ecological problems for the Wind River.
