Principles of the Wind River Alliance

Upper Bull Lake Creek

Waters flowing from the mountain ranges in the Wind River watershed are the lifeblood of all living things. A healthy watershed is the foundation of healthy communities, and wise stewardship of the watershed promotes long-term viability before short-term, gain. Community awareness and involvement is essential to achieving a healthy watershed.

The Wind River Alliance reflects the various cultures within the watershed by including elders, youth, and adults from the Shoshone and Arapaho tribes, as well as those from the surrounding communities who support a healthy river and watershed.

The Wind River Alliance is guided by a 7-member Governing Council. Current Governing Council members:

Dick Baldes, Geoff O’Gara, Cheryl Williams, Martin Blackburn, Stephanie Kessler, Jason Baldes, and Jolene Catron

WRA is always recruiting new Governing Council members. Contact WRA if you are interested!
